This 6 Days Uganda Primates safari transfers you into the Kibale forest national park to search for the Chimpanzees, Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park for a gorilla tracking expedition and travel to Lake Bunyonyi to do a canoe ride on the lake and explore the islands. Also visit the Batwa Pygmy Community.
Day 1 – Kampala – Kibale National Park
After an early breakfast you set off at 7.00am to Kibale National Park. Lunch will be in Fort Portal town thereafter proceeding to Kibale National Park. Check in at your accommodation, dinner and overnight.
Day 2 – Kibale National Park
Have early breakfast and transfer to park offices by 7.30am. Register, meet the ranger guides and thereafter head into the forest to search for the Chimpanzees. You shall be allowed maximum one hour to view them and follow them through the forest, thereafter return to find your driver and transfer to the lodge for lunch. Later in the evening you go for a nature walk in the Bigodi Wetland to observe primates, birds and other wildlife. Return for dinner and overnight.
Day 3 – Kibale – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast check out and leave for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Lunch is en-route, dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 4 – Gorilla Trekking Bwindi in Uganda
Have early breakfast and transfer to the park offices by 7.30am, taking packed lunch from the lodge. Register, meet the rangers, you are allocated a Gorilla group, and by 8.00am you transfer to the start of the trek into the forest to look for the Gorillas. After the memorable encounter with these great apes, return and transfer back to the lodge for the rest of the day and overnight.
Day 5 – Bwindi – Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast check out and travel to Lake Bunyonyi. You shall do a canoe ride on the lake and explore the islands. On the other end of the lake, leave the boat and go visit the Batwa Pygmy Community. Return in the evening, dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 6 – Lake Bunyonyi – Kampala
After breakfast leave for Kampala. Lunch is en-route in Mbarara town. You also get to make a stopover at the Uganda Equator.
