Itinerary for the 2 days gorilla trekking safari in volcanoes national park
Day 1 – Kigali – Volcanoes National Park
Pick-up from your hotel is at 8am after your breakfast. Travel northwards to Musanze District, the location of Volcanoes National Park. Check in at your hotel situated outside the park and relax away the day, enjoying the magnificent views of the mountain scenery. Day 2 – Gorilla Trekking, Travel to Kigali
Have early morning breakfast at 7.00am, get packed lunch from the hotel, and transfer to the park offices at Kinigi for briefing and allocation of the Gorilla families. At 8.00am you transfer to the starting point of the trek situated at edge of the park. You are provided with hiking sticks, and it is also here that you find the porters you may hire to carry your bags.
Ascend to the starting point and trek through the forest to find your Gorilla group. When you the find the Gorillas, you shall have not more than an hour to observe them, before returning to the start of the hike, and eventually depart for Kigali City.
