5 Days Uganda Gorilla trekking tour & wildlife safari takes you through Queen Elizabeth national park for game drives that spots you to various wildlife species like elephants, tree lions, giraffes, leopards, buffaloes and to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park for the adventurous gorilla trekking expedition.
Day 1 – Kampala – Queen Elizabeth National Park
Depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park at 7.00am, and drive for close to four hours before making lunch stop in Mbarara town. Thereafter proceed for another two hours before arriving at the park. Check in at the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2 – Queen Elizabeth National Park
The early morning game drive starts at 6.30am, set out to explore the Kasenyi Plains to find so many animals such as Elephants, Buffaloes, Antelopes, Lions, and Hyenas among others. After three hours, return to the lodge for breakfast. After lunch you shall do the boat ride on the Kazinga Channel to spot an array of wildlife which includes Hippos, Crocodiles, Monitor Lizards, Elephants, Buffaloes, Antelopes, and plenty of birds. The ride is rough 2 hours, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3 – Queen Elizabeth National Park – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After early breakfast check out and leave for Bwindi, driving through the southern region of the park called Ishasha. The region is popular for Tree-climbing Lions and other big game such as Topis, Elephants, and Buffaloes. You shall have lunch at the Savanna Hotel near Kihihi town and thereafter continue to Bwindi. Check in at your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Day 4 – Gorilla Trekking Bwindi in Uganda
Have early breakfast and transfer to the park offices by 7.30am. You are assigned a Gorilla group and thereafter transfer to the start of the trek into the forest to locate the Gorillas. You are allowed no more than hour to be the Gorillas. Return to meet your driver and transfer back to the lodge for the rest of the day and overnight.
Day 5 – Bwindi – Kampala
After breakfast leave for Kampala. Lunch is en-route in Mbarara town. Travel time: 8 hours
