4 Days Rwanda Gorilla Safari

The 4 Days Rwanda Gorilla Safari will also involve Golden monkey tracking, boat ride and relaxation on Lake Kivu. Visit the Gorilla Guardian Village and Dian Fossey Grave site. You will start this short but adventurous trip in Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda. Visit the Genocide Memorial site, trek Gorillas and Golden Monkeys in Volcanoes National Park. After the primates tracking activities, follow into the steps of the departed Gorilla Conservation heroin – Dian Fossey. Visit her grave site at the Karisoke Research Center as you immerse yourself in stunning scenery.

Itinerary for the 4 Days Rwanda Gorilla Safari

Day 1: Kigali to Volcanoes National Park

In the morning, a safari driver from Wimbowe Voyages will pick you from the hotel or airport to start the trip. Visit Kigali city and the Genocide Memorial site before embarking on the journey to Musanze. Arriving in the evening, you can decide to rest or visit the Gorilla Guardian Village for an amazing cultural experience.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Wake up quite early for breakfast and then transfer to the park office at 7.00am. Leave the lodge with your packed lunch boxes as we may not predict how long the trek may take. Meet with the park staff for briefing and allocation of the Gorilla group to track. From the park headquarters, drive to the starting point where you will find a free walking stick and porters for hire at only $10. When an hour elapses after finding and observing the Gorillas, trek out of the park to the starting point. Join your driver and drive back to the lodge. Evening relaxation.

Day 3: Golden Monkey trekking, Transfer to Lake Kivu

We shall return to the park for Golden monkey tracking before transferring to Lake Kivu. Golden monkeys are unique to the Virunga Mountains living in bamboo forests at the base of the mountain. Tracking them does not take long and not strenuous like the Mountain Gorillas trek. You will return to the lodge after tracking, check out and transfer to Lake Kivu for relaxation and a boat ride.

Day 4: Boat ride, Return to Kigali for departure

After your delicious breakfast at the lodge, you will take a boat to explore Rwanda’s largest fresh water body. You will then embark on your journey to Kigali. End of the 4 Days Rwanda Gorilla Safari and Lake Kivu.
